Hogwarts Castle

Hogwarts castle model is a 1:24 scale model built by the art department for the first film, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone'. The courtyard, tower and turret were filmed and enhanced with digital effects to create unforgettably realistic views of the magical school. Model makers installed more than 300 fibre optic lights, which simulate lanterns and torches and even gave the illusions of students passing through the hallways.

These pictures were taken in November of 2013 when the Castle had snow blown on it for the studio's winter theme.
