Montaña De Oro
As a kid a day at the beach would involve swimming and searching for sea shells along the beach. Growing up on the East Coast I enjoyed the warm water of the beaches. With the closest beach being a short drive down either Atlantic or Beach Blvd we could go to the beach at least a couple times a month.
Living on the West Coast now the water is usually cold. So going to the beach no longer means getting in the water and going swimming but walking along the water and enjoying the sound and sites of the surf.
This past weekend was a relaxing time at Morro Bay, CA. We did not stay just in Morro Bay but went to Montaña De Oro as well. It reminded me of being at the Jetties back home. Walking out on the rocks was the best part of the day.
Montana de Oro is one of our favorite places to hike. It's absolutely gorgeous.
